Stallions : Eskardo
Eskardo is a 1999, 17-hand, imported Hanoverian stallion, sired by Escudo I out of a Lauries Crusador dam. He is approved for breeding by the American Hanoverian Society (AHS) and the Oldenburg Verband. Eskardo's bloodlines are the perfect combination of athleticism and power from his jumper lines with the refinement, elegance, and beautiful gaits from his dressage lines. Escudo I was the winner of his performance test with 144.90 points in jumping and 115.73 points in dressage. Escudo I is a versatile sire who has produced successful dressage and jumping offspring. He has sired 17 sons licensed for breeding by the German Hanoverian Verband. Eskardo's dam's sire, Lauries Crusador, is one of the most sought after thoroughbred stallions in German warmblood breeding. He has sired 10 sons approved for breeding by the German Hanoverian Verband. Lauries Crusador's son, Laurentianer, became World Champion of Young Dressage Horses in 2000. Lauries Crusador's son, Londonderry, became Bundeschampion of four-year-old riding horses in 1999, and Vice-Bundeschampion of six-year-old dressage horses in 2001. Lesotho, by Lauries Crusador, is successfully competing in dressage up to the Grand Prix level.
Eskardo was imported from Germany in 2004 and began his dressage career in 2005. He has very impressive gaits and has won many of his classes at first and second level. He has a wonderful, kind disposition and a very good work ethic. All of Eskardo's 2003 and 2004 Oldenburg foals -- all born in Germany -- have received premium awards. His 2006 Hanoverian filly, Eloquence M, was the top foal at her AHS inspection and has won numerous dressage classes once started under saddle. In 2013, one of Eskardo's grandsons in Germany was the Champion Colt in the German Foal Championships.
